Walt @ the test run for BOOM! Jeans

Walt @ the test run for BOOM! Jeans

Hi Everyone,
Well it’s been a very exciting time around the shop.
Thanks to many creative and brilliant minds we have been working on a project that is sure to redefine your wardrobe and your ideas of art.

YOUR jeans are re-created by way of crazy-huge Ontario-ian Dynamite blasts.
They are post-BLAST Re-assembled and Re-invented with brilliant RickliRivets and artistic accents that only a few in the world will have their (bums) attached to.
The masterpiece is returned to you – – to wear, display… or simply selfishly covet.
The whole process is video-recorded, produced (for your pleasure) by Craig & Sue of Cat-Strat | productions (the co-crazy partner + promotion Agent for BOOM!)…
How do you get that video?
Upon delivery:
– – You’ll find it via iPod Touch in the front-pocket of your (only-one-in-the-world) jeans.

BOOM! Jeans had its first test run on September 10th at the Nelson Aggregate Quarry… and so far it’s proven to be a huge success.

Please log onto www.boomjeans.com to see the process as we begin this incredible journey. Updates will be posted here as well as on boomjeans.com as we pull together all of the footage from the test run.

So far… it’s been a blast!

Harold Ledsham Memorial ‘Common Ground’

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Community and the preservation of all things related were an important part of Harold Ledsham’s life. His passion, determination and love for the Hamlet of Lowville were a key component in maintaining the character of the community.
I took inspiration in creating this interactive sculpture from Harold’s unwavering commitment to his community and from a world where nature and finding common ground are vital to enriching our lives. The intent was to create a place where people would want to congregate.

‘Common Ground’ refers to all that connect us as individuals, families and communities either geographically or on larger scales.

It is the things we have in common that allow us to grow, give us strength and most importantly enrich our daily lives.

Lowville Residents & friends are invited to attend the unveiling of ‘Common Ground’, an interactive sculpture honoring the late Harold Ledsham.

Harold will always be remembered for his tireless efforts as President of the
Lowville Area Residents’ Association and his many years of commitment to the beautification of the Village of Lowville. The ceremony will take place on
Saturday September 26th @ 12:30pm at the Lowville Park entrance.

Members of the Ledsham family, representatives of LARA and the City of Burlington and Walt Rickli- designer, artist and creator of the sculpture will be in attendance.
Please join us.
